A Driftwood Stag sculpture assembled onto a stainless steel frame mounted on an inlaid marble base by James Doran Webb. Miniature approx 80cms high.
Hundreds of hours in the making, this sculpture is made from driftwood, each piece carefully selected and placed to match the flow of the muscles in the body. The wood is found along the shorelines and riverbeds of the Phillippines archipelago and is from a number of indigenous species, all dense enough to withstand years and years of exposure to the extreme tropical climate. Suitable for life indoors or out. If kept outdoors the polished beeswax sheen will gradually fade and revert to the natural finish and colour of 'raw' driftwood. It is advised that the inlaid marble base be removed if it is to be kept outdoors. About the Artist
